About
The story of Redeemer Community Church portrays a common theme: enjoy Christ, love his friends, and engage our world. Born out of friendship, a shared love of Christ, and a common hope for Christian community, Redeemer began in December 2006 with 56 friends hunkered down in a small living room each Sunday morning praying and worshiping God together. This was the beginning. We were becoming a church committed to Christ and to one another with the vision to reach, train, coach, and launch a next generation of Christ followers. By 2011 our church family had long outgrown living rooms, but our desire went beyond enlarging Redeemer’s stake in town; our desire was to multiply. Five people were chosen to undergo training toward Redeemer’s vision to plant more churches here in Johnson City. One of these communities is our family at Red Stone Church, who have been faithfully serving our town as missionally-minded disciples since 2013. As for our story: it’s decidedly unfinished. God is still using broken people to help broken people, and we’d love for you to be a part of the story with us.
